I am guessing that this story happened over thirty years ago and we have never forgotten how wonderful it was to be invited for a spontaneous roast lunch one Sunday at the bungalow. Huw and I were visiting Deb in London - we had been out all night at theuniversity ball. Tired and hungover we started talking about what we
would love to be eating and agreed that a home cooked roast lamb dinner
complete with cauliflower cheese would really hit the spot. Deb decided
to ring Pat and see what she was cooking and whether there was space at the
table. Amazingly our dream lunch was being cooked right then at the
bungalow. Pat generously invited us all to lunch and very tasty it was
too. This felt typical of the hospitality and warm welcome enjoyed in my
younger years at 2 Milden Gardens. Sheila
